Official Policies

Special Event Support:

Special event support requests must be made at least 30 days prior to the event. In most cases we will ask to meet with the stakeholders to go over AV needs and train them how to use the AV system. In certain cases, as we deem necessary, we may provide a technician to be on call for the event.

Technician Access:

To provide quality service and limit system downtime, we must access the spaces we support as the schedule allows. We rely on the university's scheduling system to choose our repair times. If you are occupying a general assignment space without having officially scheduled it, we may still choose to access the room.

Batteries:

Classroom AV Services provides batteries in the classrooms for use with the wireless microphones. These batteries are intended for academic use only and should not be taken for personal use.

Lectern Cleaning:

Our technicians periodically clean the classroom lecterns throughout the semesters and perform a deeper clean over the summer. If you prefer to disinfect high-touch areas on the lectern before each class, please only use 70% or above isopropyl alcohol wipes. Using any other cleaners may result in system issues or touch screen failure. Classroom AV Services does not provide cleaning supplies in the classrooms.
