Need A/V Access?

The A/V systems in the Registrar’s centrally scheduled classrooms are for academic, research and administrative use only. The A/V systems in most classrooms are accessed with your Hokie Passport (Virginia Tech ID card).

I am Faculty/Staff

As faculty/staff, your Hokie Passport gives you full access to the classroom A/V systems. Registration is not necessary.

Using the registration page, you may grant students access to the classroom A/V systems in specific rooms. When doing so, please keep in mind that the systems are for academic, research and administrative use only. Student organizations must qualify as an official college or department affiliated academic organization to receive access.

I am a Student

Students may not access the classroom A/V systems without faculty/staff approval. This includes graduate students. Your instructor, advisor, etc may grant you access as described above.

Student organizations must qualify as an official academic organization affiliated with an academic college or department. Non-academic registered organizations may not use the classroom A/V systems, even if the organization has a faculty advisor. Your organization only qualifies if it is directly tied to a class, department or other academic purpose. Call our office in advance of your event if you are unsure. Reserving a room does not grant access to the A/V equipment in that room.

I am a Guest of the University

Please check with your contact at the University to see about obtaining access. You may only use the classroom A/V systems for your function if it is directly related to a class or other academic purpose.
