Access the AV Systems

Faculty and Staff:

As faculty/staff, your Hokie Passport grants you full access to the classroom AV systems. This process is automatic and no registration is required. Simply swipe your Passport in the card reader or type your ID number into the keypad on the touch panel.

Guests of the University:

Please have your university contact reach out to our office about obtaining AV access. If necessary, we can provide access through temporary codes.

Students:

Students do not have direct access to the classroom AV systems. Reserving a room DOES NOT grant access to the AV equipment in that room. There are several pathways to gaining AV access:

Graduate students and Teaching Assistants:

Your associated faculty must grant you access using our registration portal. This grants a student access to a specific room for one semester only. If multiple rooms are needed, the registration must be completed for each room.

Student organizations affiliated with an academic college or department:

Your organization's associated faculty/staff must grant you access using our registration portal. This grants a student representative access to a specific room for one semester only. If multiple rooms are needed, the registration must be completed for each room.

Non-academic registered student organizations (GobblerConnect):

Only the students registered as president, vice president, and secretary on the organization’s GobblerConnect page may access the AV systems. This is handled through the GobblerConnect system and you must maintain your own registration there.
